A doctor who knows your history

Many practices grow by adding providers and moving patients through faster. In Dr. Burstein's office, your care is with him at every visit. He knows your history, remembers what worked last time, and takes the time to explain what he's doing and why.

A native of Israel, Dr. Burstein earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College and has been in practice since 1983. He is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and he continues to study advanced chiropractic techniques and the treatment of work-related injuries. He accepts workers' compensation cases, and he treats patients of all ages, from young children to older adults.

He has also completed about 500 hours of postgraduate training in acupuncture techniques. He occasionally uses fine needles as one part of a chiropractic treatment plan, for example for pain relief or jaw (TMJ) pain. He is not a licensed acupuncturist and doesn't offer acupuncture as a stand-alone service.

How he practices

“To be able to affect lots of people’s lives by helping them in my office, teaching them prevention and pro-active care in addition to the initial acute care.”
  • Find the cause first. Pain in one place often starts somewhere else. Treatment begins with a real exam.
  • Explain everything. You'll understand what's wrong, what the plan is and how long it should take.
  • Teach, don't create dependence. Every plan includes what you can do at home, and an end point.
  • Be available. Early mornings and evenings on weekdays, and weekend visits by request for emergencies.
